Facilities

Toilet and Car parking is situated right next to the Pond offering easy access for all anglers.

The Pond is roughly 1/3 acre in size and has been established for over 10 years.  This is a very popular place to fish and attracts anglers from Cumbria, Yorkshire, Cheshire and even Lincolnshire.  It is advisable during the

season to arrive early to avoid disappointment as there are only 17 pegs.

It is well stocked with both Mirror and Common Carp up to 25+lb, averaging

around 9 - 10lb.  There are also a few Tench and large Roach to be had.  All baits work well including maggot, meat, corn and cat food.

Match Dates for your Diary

Matches are held on The Lake only, held all year round and must be booked at least 1 month in advance.

Open matches can also be arranged

Season for this Fishery is from

1st March to 31st November

Also see own website at

Thurslandhillfishery.co.uk

The Lake is roughly one acre in size, was established in 1997, stocked in

1998 and has 33 pegs.  It is well stocked with Roach, Rudd, Tench, Perch, Crucian, Mirror and Common Carp.  It has recently been stocked with Carp up to 15lbs, but the record for the most fish caught in one day by one angler currently stands at an impressive 114.  The Lake is becoming popular for winter fishing due to the variety of fish, and also as a match lake.  Main bait used here is maggot.
